Scope
As the 5G mobile services start penetrating worldwide, various research and developments(R&Ds) towards the next generation wireless and ICT network are rising and accelerating in recent years under the name of Beyond 5G(B5G) or 6G.
In most B5G / 6G visions disclosed by various organizations worldwide, you can find the words like Digital-Twins, Society 5.0, etc. where wireless technologies take one of major roles as the social infrastructure. Wireless technologies are now everywhere and integrated with other technologies like AI and robotics. With the penetration of the wireless technologies deep into the social infrastructure and with the evolutional integration with other technical fields, collaborative R & D with other technical fields and application areas are becoming indispensable towards B5G/6G Era.
This movement has led to an increase in new entry into the wireless technical fields by SMEs (Small and Medium size Enterprises) and start-up companies, and at the same time has caused a shortage of wireless researchers/engineers/experts.
With the movement above as a background, this workshop focuses on emerging R&Ds and challenges mainly led by SMEs, start-ups and emerging talents in the field of wireless technology.
The workshop will be structured with two invited talks and around seven presentations of technical papers. Audience is expected to meet emerging technologies and talents towards B5G/6G Era.
Researchers/engineers/SMEs/start-ups who are tackling emerging wireless technology are invited to submit a technical paper to this workshop.
Main technical areas focused in this workshop are as follows;
- Smart network based on massive connection
- Application of AI/machine learning in wireless communications
- Efficient spectrum sharing
- Wireless sensors and its applications
- Wireless technology for non-terrestrial communications and applications
Other papers related to the following technical areas are also welcomed to be submitted;
- Millimeter wave and Terahertz communications
- Antennas and Propagation
- Space, Aeronautical and Navigational Electronics
- Satellite Telecommunications
- Smart Radio Access Control
- Short Range Wireless Communications
- Sensor Network
- Radio Communication Systems
- Wireless Power Transmission
